Yesterday's ballgame adventure was interesting. It was Senior Day (that's old people, not last year of high school). They have an area down the right field that is a party deck. And that's where they put us. We got hot dogs and hamburgers and macaroni salad and beer and soda and water. The beer and soda and water were fine - the food was of a level that even I, who will eat anything anywhere, had some qualms about viability. There was plenty of seating in the shade. Sadly, that seating afforded very limited view of the game. You could see the right and center fielders and that's all. Also the sound system sounds like Charlie Brown's teacher on the party deck.

So... you either sat in the direct sun and fried or sat in the shade with no clues. Not very interesting baseball wise. The ride there and back was lovely. If they offer it again, I'll probably sign up but then buy my own ticket for a seat where I can see and enjoy the baseball and buy better food.

My gout-y toe was ok until I took my shoes off last night and then OWIE!! I iced it down a bunch and it did not keep me awake. This morning it looks horrible - all red and swollen - but it feels a tiny bit better. More ice today and elevation some.

I'm trying mightily not to stress about the whole IRS thing. I have filed my return so I've done my bit. I'd like the refund but I don't need it to live on. If I don't hear anything by next week (21 days after filing), I will likely try and call. I'd like to know what's in that letter. But, I can't see what I can't see. And short of trying to call which would be nuts to even try this week, there's really nothing more I can do. Stressing over it ain't going to buy me a dime.

My plans for today include toe care and probably some TV and crochet and puzzling and whatever else comes along. I think I'll start with a shower.

You can call H&R and demand that they give you your refund that they are DEFINITELY holding on to.
