Credit where credit is due
Apr. 20th, 2024 09:38 amFor no good reason, I just checked my credit score. My various financial institutions use different score keepers. My credit union has my score 30 points lower than Chase, where I have my visa. Capital One which I don't even use any more agrees with Chase. BECU just must have a bee up its butt about me for some reason. Get over yourself, BECU, and give me my 30 points!
But in real news, my gout is worse. It hurts to walk. And put anything on it. I need to find a soft sock and maybe stick to my soft slippers today.
I did manage to get to the pool. It hurt but it was so worth it. I played on the other side, with the sun on my back and it was good. Fine. Everyone was also fine with the change but I did get some ribbing. Also it's way deeper so I'm going to have to learn some new maneuvers but I got in enough good shots to show that it was going to be fine. Holly, who plays to my right in my normal position was worried but I promised I'd be back as soon as the sun was gone. (We do have a good tag team thing developed and the guy who played in that spot today doesn't understand.)
Have I mentioned how much I love this new laptop???? Holy moly is it ever nice. It's little things like the backlit keyboard. My Pixelbook had backlit keys but at the highest setting you couldn't see the backlight unless you were in total darkness. These keys have LOTS of light. And they are so easy to type on. I do understand that the placement and the mush and the resistance all make a difference in how the keyboard functions but in this case, they are all in agreement with my fingers and typos are just not happening.
This week is going to be way better. I feel it in my bones and in the menus. Last week there was precious little that looked good on any of the menus. The only dinner item I wanted was liver and onions and liver is one or the top foods you should avoid with gout. So I didn't even get that. But starting Monday, it's a new ballgame. The lunch menu and the dinner menu are full of good stuff.
Oh shit it's time for Elbow coffee and i'm not even dressed. Later, gaters
