Poor again

susandennisWhen I learned I would not have to pay $17,000 in income taxes, I loosened the purse strings a little. Well, now that it appears I may well have to pay that or more, I am going back to parsimony as a driving force. At least until I get more tax info (May? August?), my cousin's estate gets settled (whothefuckknows) or I sell the condo (late summer/fall/winter?). It's fine. I don't need shit. I'll start another When My Ship Comes In list.
But, of course, there are always somethings... today it's gas. My car has only a quarter tank left. I just checked and see that the last time I bought gas was February 23rd. So at least I make it last.
I could use some groceries but nothing on the list is a real need right now, so I'll skip that. I am sure glad I bought the new computer while the spending window was open! :) And I have a healthy portion of my $400 meal allowance left. So I can at least be confident in maintaining my ample girth without spending $$.
My toe looks as horrible as it did last week BUT it sure feels better. I can even bend it a little. It still hurts but last week it was an 8 and today it is a 4 or maybe even 3. There is hope.
The Mariners play in Texas tonight - the Rangers. Normally, they kill us but they have sucked recently like us so it will just depend on which team has what level of suckage. Could be interesting. At least it's an hour earlier.
And it's house cleaner day.
