The disaster drills were goat roadeos in disguise. This morning, we were to play the parts of residents in the assisted living and nursing sections. We were told 3 different start times and 4 different places we were to gather. It was a mess. It started an hour after the latest start time and ended 2 hours after it was supposed to but we got cupcakes that were delicious. And the group was a fun one so all was not lost.

The afternoon drill was a lot less painful but no cupcakes and no organization. Myrna thinks they will ask us for how we think it went. I am sure they will not.

We did a lot of walking and my poor toe is screaming at me now. It's just throbbing. tomorrow it needs a day off.

I got the baby blanket to finish. It's a stitch I never hear of but is neat - bubble stitch. And the yarn is a bitch - it's Italian and probably very expensive but it keeps splitting and almost breaking. I'm making a small swatch to ensure that 1. I've captured what she was doing and 2. I get her tension just like she had it. The swatch needs more work but it's getting there.

This is the bit I will be finishing.

The cats' food arrived from Chewy just as they were polishing off the last half of the last can. Whew. I doubled the order this time so that I'll have backup - Just in time delivery can be stressful!

I caught most of the game which the Mariners actually won and it is a wonderful experience to watch it on Roku and not WebOS. I'm still amazed it took me a month to figure this out.

It's been pouring rain all day and everyone is bummed but me. I love it.

The yarn may be a bitch, but the color is beautiful and the stitch is, too. I think it's lovely that you volunteered to do this.

I am loving the rain, too.

My yard is growing like a weed and will be work, but I've already gotten most of the big stuff.

Toe sympathy.

I'll bet that's a nice place to be when it's raining hard all day.
