I once had YouTube TV and put it on pause and then forgot so had to pay for a month I did not want. Since then I have investigated and now operate a whole new way with TV subscriptions.

None of them offer any incentive NOT to churn. A few offer annual deals which are a hair better pricewize but not many. In my flush with cash years, I bought everything - whole years, if possible. Now I have canceled everything except Prime (which I keep because it makes sense for many non-tv reasons) and Direct TV. Some things I still have access to for a while because of the annual thing but, running the numbers... Even after baseball, it might be cheaper to keep Direct TV and buy months of this and that when there's stuff I want to see that I can't get elsewhere.

I may change my mind but I can, easily, and with no penalty because these stupid streaming things don't know how to price to keep. ha! I mean, really, lock me in for 3 months. Or require a contract. Or give me a better incentive to pay for a year. Geesh.

Until then, take me off your books until I want you.

Love, me

If there's a series I want to watch on Netflix, Apple TV+, or Paramount+, I Google to find out the date of the last episode, join when the series is over, binge watch, and cancel.
