Questionable decisions
May. 5th, 2024 07:29 amMy hair was getting so shaggy and I needed a trim. But, I hate hairs so I need a shower after I trim. But, I'm going swimming this morning and that will work, so why don't I just cut it in the morning before my swim. But I woke up too early. So what? Well, turns out that probably cutting your own hair (that could be a full stop there) at 5:30 am might not be the best decision.
Oops. Took a little too much off there. Oh well, let's even it out, oops. You get the picture. Now I have a proper buzz cut but actually not so proper as their are little tuffs poking out. Oh well. It's no longer shaggy. And maintenance will be a non issue for many weeks to come.
PLUS I am paving my future at the cult. They have a process for snitching. If you know someone who is struggling you can fill out a form. Myrna has a friend whose eye sight is failing and who may have misplaced a marble here or there in the past few months and, yet, she has no problem getting her car out and driving all over. So Myrna filled out a form. The wellness department will go check on her and contact her family if they think she's making dangerous decisions. You can even fill these forms out anonymously.
So, I'm not going to be shy about hiding my crazy. When someone reports me, I want to say "fuck. I've been doing that for years." So, giving myself a buzz cut is just future proofing. Plus I love how it feels.
I got mega progress done on my test blanket. I have one more row to join and then two more seams to join it to the rest and then the border which will be easy and I'll be done. Yahooooo!
We are fogged in this morning which makes for a wonderful swim. Usually I have the joint to myself on Sunday's but today there was someone else in the pool, walking. No biggie. It was a lovely swim. And it's still early morning - not yet 8. The game is at 11.
