two more things
May. 5th, 2024 08:16 amI wanted to record that yesterday I wore regular (non Crocs) shoes all day long and walked wherever I wanted and unlike prior days, when I took my shoes off last night, my toe did not even register a tiny complaint. It does not even hurt, now to press on it. It's still a weird shade of not regular color and swollen like a cartoon toe BUT it no longer hurts. Thankyoujesus.

Yesterday, I took Myrna to see Joan at her rehab place. It's a lovely teeny tiny hospital about 15 minutes north of here. The drive is spectacularly beautiful. The hospital is nice and pretty and calm and does not even smell hospitalish. The rehab section is even nicer and quiet and not smelly. Joan looked so old and tiny but she was delighted to see us and really in a very good mood. And she has Root Sports on TV (which she does not have here) so she can watch the Mariner games. She thinks she's going to be there another 2 or 3 or 4 weeks. She admitted to getting a little stir crazy but really she was perky. At the end of our visit, the cutest PT guy came in. I mean he was adorable. I wanted some PT but he only had eyes for Joan.
We came home and stopped at Burger King (Myrna has gift cards to burn) and got milk shakes. It was a very nice outing.
Myrna is seriously thinking about giving up her car in August when her insurance is due. I would love for her to be able to use me as her Lyft. She likes my car because it is so easy to get in and out of. So I'm trying to encourage trips like yesterday.
