susandennisI'm feeling real cult love tonight. First of all, I was working the puzzle this afternoon and Chad walked by. "You need anything?" YES! We still have one edge piece we cannot find. I showed him. It took him 1 minute. You talk about your valuable maintenance technician!
Then tonight I did the buffet for dinner. They had pork ribs and chicken in barbecue sauce. And baked beans. (And some broccoli medley thing that I just ignored.) Then they had watermelon salad and lemon custard cake. $12. The ribs were pretty darned excellent. The chicken was dry and the beans were ok. But that watermelon salad and the custard cake were the very best. I am stuffed.
So nice and so easy. I dirtied one fork. So kitchen clean up was pretty simple.
A new couple is moving into an apartment downstairs today. I have moving PTSD. Just seeing their boxes made me feel dirty and frustrated and sooooooo exhausted. I will never forget how horrible that experience was.
But, now... This is a lovely life.
