This morning has been getting it done morning. I have/had a bunch of little things that needed done that I just haven't gotten around to and today's the day to do them all. Plus laundry.

I have gotten into the habit of checking my Gmail spam folder at least daily and sometimes more often and deleting all the messages there. It's an easy way to just stay on top and ensure nothing is getting in there that shouldn't. Since I do it so often, there are rarely more than 35 items in there so scanning them is easy and painless. I do feel like a need a shower on some days, though. But one this morning made me ewwwwwww out loud. The sender was listed as Donald Trump and the subject was Do You Need A Hug? EWWWWWWWWW

Today's big excitement is... I'm going to the Food and Beverage Committee meeting! So. There is an actual committee of inmates residents who have advisory committee. They meet once a month with the chef and the Food and Beverage director. I have no idea how much input they have or what info they get BUT, my friend, Martha, who knows a whole lotta inside skippy, says that you can go sit in on the meeting and hear all. So it's today at 1:30 and I'm going to go. Stay tuned for dets!

One of the things I did this morning was clean out my dresser. It's underwear and socks and sleeping clothes. I took everything I don't wear often and put it into a vacuum storage bag. My dresser now has room to breathe. AND I can put the stuff I use every day all in one drawer. One stop shopping.

I also cleaned out a bathroom cabinet so I could put all the stuff in there. Julio still has a love of water. I have square jar that I keep my toothbrush in on the counter. Yesterday, I filled it with water to let it soak out all the toothpaste drippings that had accumulated. This morning I woke up to water all over the counter and the mirror. Someone had a fun time last night and I know who it is. Now there is room in the cabinet so that everything can stay behind closed doors. Until he learns to open the door, I'm safe.

I have one more chore and then it's time to puzzle. I'll puzzle in the elbow and usually Myrna comes out about 11 and we puzzle until John and Hazel come out about 11:20 and then we go to lunch. Most Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Tuesdays and Thursdays John and Hazel play bocce ball with a group on the other side of the complex and then go to lunch from there.

And speaking of playing... Yesterday I went down to return some puzzles to the puzzle closet in the game room and the Hand and Foot card game group was playing. It was about six old women and Will. Will is the youngest person I know here. He plays volleyball (really well) and Holly says he's in his 60's. He's a widowed retired accountant and does a lot of volunteer work around here. He was clearly enjoying the card game and the company. I've never played Hand and Foot but I have played Spades and Canasta and other similar card games. Might be fun.

Ok, I have two more chores that I am going to do right now.

Never heard of Hand and Foot. Funny. When I visited Matt last Cyndi's parents were there. We played Pitch, another game I'd not heard of. I was going to learn it so I could be better next time. But now I don't have to.

Also, I had a cat that could open the louvered door to the trash and get into it. We had some talks and he was never again allowed in the kitchen. That was when I used a machine gun water pistol. If I heard something late in the kitchen I could just pull the machine gun trigger with an empty gun and the sound sent him running.
