Big Lots

I went out to the library and while there realized I was up for at least one more errand and did not really have a Must Do one. I had been wanting to see a Big Lots and figured what the heck!

We have TV ads for Big Lots and I get the concept and think it's fun. But, there isn't one close by. There's one 10 miles north and one 10 miles south. Between the library and my house is the easy turnoff to go south. So, what the heck. I went. It was a good trip. Wait Wait Don't Tell Me was on the radio and there were no big trucks and no heavy traffic.

I found it with no problem and wandered the whole thing. I probably could have spent $60 and come away with a bunch of stuff I didn't need but when I got to the end of the tore, I wasn't bonded to anything in my cart so I just left it there, got my purse and went back to the car and came home. Now, that's off my list. Next time I see one of those ads I can put it into I Don't Need It category.

I did stop at Jack in the Box on the way home. I like their hamburgers but their fast food service is so not fast. I hate their stores inside and I don't want to park in the drive thru. So I don't think I need to go there again either.

I did get the coffee table reoriented. I did get the laundry done. Next up... trip to the dumpster.

My back still aches but I'm beginning to think it's due more to inactivity than anything else!

I love Big Lots, but you do tend to go away with crap you don't need. It is a great place to get presents bags and things like that. And tea lights and other candles. And cheap kid presents.

Our Big Lots has been without AC all summer, so I am sure it smells like several armpits.

Big Lots has it uses. It is like a low-class T J Maxx. Don't buy batteries there, though, they'll be dead. Also, some of the food is a bit dodgy, but there are some food items there that you can't find here in the Midwest.

I love close to the one up North and we go in occasionally. Sometimes its got something that I just dont want to spend a lot of money on or need a good quality of, like the $14 patio table we have. But overall it really is a bunch of junk.
