Houston, we have a problem

I was sitting on my couch watching the game with the door open when John and Hazel popped in to say that Biggie had met them at the elevator in the elbow. Ooops. Later I found Julio halfway down the hall and kind of frozen and meowing.

Then much later I went to puzzle. It wasn't long before here comes Biggie. I let him roam around kind of hoping he'd get it out of his system. And then around the corner comes Hazel.



When Biggie started to walk all over the puzzle, I took them both home and shut the door - leaving it ajar as usual and went back to the puzzle. It wasn't long... here comes Biggie. So I finished puzzling and guided him home. We could hear Julio at the door calling out as we got home.

I'm hoping it's a one time thing and they will lose interest. I know that ain't going to happen.

My neighbour has a full glass storm door - she leaves it closed and her front door open wide all day - so her dog can lay right there and keep an eye on the neighbourhood :)

yeah kinda. I mean there are at least two people on this hall who are allergic. most would never ever say anything but might be annoyed. Everyone comes to tell me when they get out and that kind of lets me know they don't think it's a good idea.

Yeah, when people start returning your cats it's kind of a hint. Personally I would be thrilled to see them in the halls and elbow but there's no accounting for taste (and allergies).

Are you the only person on your floor who has cats? Are Biggie and Julio likely to run into other roaming critters?

If Biggie figures out elevators, he will be unstoppable!

There is one other cat on the floor - Ingrid's. But, he'll never be let out of her apartment. There are the occasional dogs that come down the hallway on their way to and from places and I'm pretty sure both cats would make a beeline for under my bed if they saw a dog. But, I'm also pretty sure it would result in a loud confrontation and annoy people.

I won't put it past Biggie to eat a puzzle piece or actually figure out how to get on the elevator go down if you have a emergency stairs. Being cats they would probably find the stairs more entertaining to run up and down on.
