This is the yarn for my next project.

I gathered it all into a shelf that is behind my head when I sit on the couch. Having it in my line of sight most of the time would drive me nuts. It's a blanket. I cannot start until I finish the baby blanket I'm finishing now (for the woman whose Mom started it before she died. I love the baby blanket and it's a great project so I do NOT need a distraction. I'd put all these yarns in a box out of sight all together but I'm not that disciplined.

Yesterday's resident council meeting was interesting. It was a 45 minute meeting crammed into 1.5 hours. Old people cannot be hurried. Especially when you put a microphone in front of their mouth. There are many many many facets to life here. There is the physical space, the routine apartment life stuff. There's the food. There's the keep old people alive stuff. There's the keep old people entertained stuff. And about a half dozen more. And each has a committee of residents with a staff member. And they must report at this monthly meeting. There is beauty in most residents' ignoring the whole thing and just living their own lives. I'm just curious but not enough to join in.

My neck has had a weird tweak in it for several days and this morning has another so finally I dragged out my weird massager which is way too big and cumbersome but sure as shit does a fine job. I am glad it survived the downsizing.

Biggie left a treat on the ottoman this morning and Julio just spied it. He hopped up and sniffed it again and again but then walked away. So. I have one cat who will eat anything - ear buds, foam, treats - any time anywhere. And one cat who will not eat anything but cat food and it has to be in his dish.

I need a day off today. Yesterday was busy all day and tomorrow is another busy Saturday. (Busy, of course, in old people terms which means more than 2 things to do.) We have a good puzzle going. And there is a baseball game at 3:30.

I think I'll give my neck another go with the machine and then go get a shower.

Oh wanna see what the yarn will be making?

I am curious.
I can't read the detail is it knit or crochet? I'm thinking knit.

I am intrigued by that pattern. But I am trying to be a more monogamous crafter.
