Really amazing

susandennisOn major holidays, the Food and Beverage department consolidate all meals into one and make a BFD out of it. They usually have it from 11-1 or 2. I have avoided all of them. Standing in a buffet line with 400+ people - not my cuppa.
But Myrna wanted to have us all eat together so what the heck. We went down a little before 12 expecting a line. No line. No waiting. They had a million staff people all smiles and decked out in Memorial Day themed outfits. The line went fast and the food was fabulous.
They had corn on the cob, pork ribs, chicken thighs, baked beans and hotdogs. They had watermelon and potato salad and sheet cake. The portions were incredibly generous. And the food was so good. That potato salad was the best - maybe the best I have ever had. The corn was cooked perfectly. The ribs were meh but I'm picky. The chicken was really good. No clue what that flavoring is but yum. I saved most of mine for a chicken sandwich. I saved the hotdog (with onions and sauerkraut) for dinner tonight. I have potato salad and watermelon left as well.
Everybody agreed with me. It was so good and so well done. Sign me up for the 4th of July buffet right now!
