susandennisFirst of all. Myrna and I took my fixed ($66 yeah!) car out for retail therapy at Target yesterday. We had a great time and got in lots of good steps. Next adventure is Seattle Goodwill. My list is long and she's been dying to go. Maybe tomorrow but if not tomorrow, then Monday or Tuesday.
The Mariners won last night in a nail biter. First of all they were playing the Cheating Astros (yes, they cheated a few years ago and haven't been caught since and only two guys are left from that team but still... cheaters). It was the third game of a four game set and we won the first two. The Astros had their amazing pitcher that they bought recently who's old but still got it. So not so many runs. Then it went to the 10th inning. We had a shot - men on base, good hitters up next, but still - it's so stressful. My friend, Frank, was at the game and the delay between live and TV is considerable. I got a party emoji from him before the guy who hit the walk off, got to the plate so I knew we were good and could just relax and enjoy. Which I did. One of my favorite players was the GOAT of the game and I rewound and watched his hit and the aftermath several times.
Today we play game 4 at 1 pm. Winning would be fabulous but we've already embarrassed them so I'm good.
This morning I need to make a quick run to UPS. We stopped there after Target yesterday but the line was too long and full of Karen's. Mornings there are way better anyway.
Biggie and Julio are playing Catch That Cat! It starts in the shower and then goes into the bedroom under the bed, then over the bed, then into the closet and out to the living room and over the island and back again. At very high speed. Now Julio has dropped out and is hiding and Biggie is perplexed. These two are never not entertaining. Julio just snuck up behind Biggie and it's now Round 2.
The dinner menu is blah this week and I just remembered the strog in the freezer. WIN!!
I'm making great headway on the baby blanket I'm knitting. I'm thinking it will be finished maybe by mid next week and I can start on the one with all the colors.
I have a good book going and a stack of really good ones queued up and a good series on TV ... I've got a fine roof, good eats and primo entertainment. There is no one luckier than me.
