Yesterday I knitted. All damn day long. I finished up the volunteer project and will, today, take it down to the front desk where the woman I did it for can pick it up whenever she wants. It turned out well. But I'm glad it's done. Then I started on the next blanket. It's a very interesting knit but, like with many yarn projects, takes some serious concentration at the start.

I finally moved the pattern to a spreadsheet and that will help enormously.

We have three days of glorious rain starting any minute now and then nothing but sun. My goal is to enjoy these three days and endeavor to shutthefuckup about the sun. Everyone else will love it.

Today I need to puzzle. I do not like the current one but I love the next ones in the queue so I need to get this one finished.

Lunch with Hazel and John and maybe Myrna.

We're staring down the food budget runway once again. These months just fly by. I have to spend my $400 in the next 7 days. My little food budget spreadsheet says I have to eat $23.00 a day to get to $0. That's nearly 2 meals a day and, considering, each meal is at least 2 for me, that's 4 meals a day! I can burn off some at the Bistro - the banana bread they've had recently is fabulous and they always have ice cream. And I can always freeze my leftovers.

No baseball today. I finished up Sugar so on to the next thing on my watch list. Plus, I'm really behind on Jeopardys.

What kind of things do you like to knit? I remember in high school, I took a sewing class (not sure if that's what it was called, but knitting and sewing was most of what we did), but I wasn't great at it. These days, I'm grateful for that class, though, as I can sew my own clothes together when they are torn and repair things without having to buy new items of clothing.

Also, I love banana bread! I don't really like sweet stuff all too much, but banana bread is something I love (along with carrot and date cake!).

That's cool! I'd love to be able to knit, but unfortunately I'm only able to sew for repair jobs.

What kind of "junk TV" do you watch? :-)

Do they have coffees at the bistro? Or a separate coffee shop of some sort? I don't hear you mention fancy coffees (unless i've just missed it), but if so, that would be a very easy way for me to blow through $400 in no time! Of course, it may also mean no sleep from too much caffeine, but hey.
