susandennisIt's really not reasonable how much I stress about money these days. I need to get a grip. I have money. If my condo does not sell for a year, I'll be fine. If the trustee for my cousin's estate sits on our money until the end of time, I'll be fine. But somehow the part of my brain that knows that, is disconnected from the part of my brain that worries about shit.
I called that trustee today after not hearing from him for months. There is an IRS issue that could hold him liable for a lot of cash if not settled correctly and I get that. BUT, I said that I did not understand why he couldn't separate out a little IRS pile and send us the rest. He said he could and that he will make a distribution of more of the funds next week. I am not holding my breath. But at least he answered my call.
After all the planning and strategizing about how I could 0 out the monthly meal allowance, I went $10.50 over. But it was for a good cause. I ordered lunch to pick up but when I got down there to pick up, Myrna was coming out of a meeting looking for Hazel and John and me for lunch. Hazel and John had gone to Costco. So I ate with Myrna which was fine and good. They had a delicious shrimp special. The lunch I ordered - caesar salad - will work fine for dinner tonight.
My new credit card arrived so I got it into my Google wallet and online and all is fine. Interestingly, I got a $2.50 credit from Progressive for something. The credit came in after the card was canceled. But, BECU just applied it to the new one, moved all of the history to the new one. Easy peasy. Plus, now, anything I forgot to cancel will be charged to the old card and I'll get a cranky note and know to cancel it! ha.
Last week I sent an email to the optometrist asking for a copy of my patient record and of the tests so that I could send them to my new ophthalmologist. I thoroughly expected them to ignore the request of give me some lame reason why they wouldn't do it. But, nope, I got an email saying they could send to the doctor or they could send to me, which did I want? I said me. And within the hour I had PDFs of my scans and tests and a doctor's report. So. Cool. I uploaded them to the new doctor's portal. Slick.
I got the kitchen reorganized and I really like it. I got the laundry done.
Things are good and fine.
