They changed the breakfast special in the dining room and have a new server and the combo is fabulous. Breakfast service has been shit since I moved here. But, finally they fixed that. They have a nice variety of things on the menu for $10-$12 but a few months ago, they added a Special for $3.99 that is just ridiculous to pass up. 2 eggs, bacon and waffles with heated syrup. Plus coffee or juice. Juanita is the breakfast server and she is a trip and a half. And fast and really cute. "You want that bacon crispy? Everyone wants crispy. You want?" And she greets everyone as if seeing them has just made her day complete.

So today, after volleyball, I stopped at the dining room and had breakfast and it was soooooooooo good.

I ordered some pants from Amazon. I knew when I ordered, that I shouldn't have. The listing looked suspect. And there was a shipping charge. (They were available on another website but nfw was I buying there.) But, I really wanted these pants and they looked exactly like what I wanted. They were not, of course. They were about 4 sizes smaller than advertised. And a weird return situation "we'll send you a shipping label in 5 days". So I hopped on Amazon chat and bitched. The CSR said to wait 2 business days and if nothing comes back. That made it today. Today, I went back to chat and in less than 5 mins I had a full refund. Keep the pants. I might be able to use the fabric but at a minimum, I can donate.

Amazon collects a lot of hate but none - not one single bit of it - from me. They have made my life better over and over and over again.

Myrna and I are off to Costco this morning. I need to pick up prescriptions and coffee and maybe some of that creme brulee.

Amazon is an absolute godsend for me. Do I want them to pay their taxes? YES! I wish they were ethically perfect. But for someone with chronic illnesses who doesn't drive,I honestly don't know what I'd do without them.
