So, I had occasion to email my boss and in said email I mentioned that I was dying of boredom. He replied right away (which is astounding in itself) that he had a new piece of work for me if I was interested.... 'Didn't we talk about this?' Er... no...

It's managing a website (another part of Microsoft.com - later edit... it's not Microsoft.com, it's an internal website there). The website owner (who I've never heard of before) specifically requested a Susan Dennis-like person for the job. Boss went on to say that he expects the job to be about 30ish or so hours a week??!!!!!!!!! And will 'go on for quite a while'! 'Are you interested?'

Er, ah... let me check my calendar...

The Susan Dennis-like person thing is cracking me up. I looked up the owner in the corporate directory and she works in an organization that I've done a fair number of projects for. I don't know her but I know her boss's boss and others. The glass half full me says that this Susan Dennis-like person is smart and fun and sharp and beautiful and just a wonder. Probably it's closer to one who works cheap and doesn't give a lot of grief but either way, 30 hours of work in addition to my other clients??

Oh, yes, folks... it's time to bring out the dancing hamster!!
