First there was volleyball. Then my new routine of breakfast. I told Martha and Myrna about it and invited them to come on down at 8:10 and breakfast with me and they did! It was lovely. And delicious.

Then up here to get dressed and then down to the Resident Update Meeting. The RUM, as they call it, was mildly interesting. Each of the department heads gets up and gives a report. On the one hand, it's a good way to hear what everyone is doing and see the leaders in person. On the other hand, in so many cases I'm pretty depressed by how bad they are at representing their work. They all know how to read the slides and do. But, I don't want to know this place is being run by people who don't know what they are doing.

John and Hazel are big bocce ball players and have been working hard to get them to fix the court which is worn and full of bumps and hills. John thinks that Anthony, who is the head of plant operations, is a certified idiot. And, frankly, after sitting through his presentation today, I think John is 100% correct.

But, he (Anthony) did let out a couple of interesting things. The conversion of the pool from bromine to salt water has been canceled or postponed or whatever = not happening. Budget concerns. I am very relieved. He also mentioned that the current contract with Xfinity from TV and internet has two more years starting next year and then, he implied, they will be getting a better service. Interesting.

I left the meeting early because, if all that isn't enough, there's a Mariner game this morning! So now I'm back home watching that. I was careful not to see the score on the way to fire up the recorded version so at least I can now fast forward through the commercials. I'm pretty sure they are going to lose but just now I'm in the first inning and they are ahead 2-0.

A few weeks ago, I bought three little jars for Biggie treats. I had one on the counter and he knocked it off and broke it. I put more treats into a second jar and put it in the cupboard. This worked fine except... this morning I left the door open and he got it and knocked it to the floor and broke it open. This time it had so many treats in it, he didn't even eat them all! But those 5 are all he gets until next week when Chewey sends more. I have one jar left but I think probably I'll find another storage system.

Now the score is tied. And I have knitting to do.
