Biggie's How To
Jun. 30th, 2024 08:36 amThis morning, I put the lock blocker on the door and went to the pool but I was in no hurry so I watched Biggie via the camera to see if he would escape. I apparently shut the door correctly this time. He tried but no go.
When I got back, I searched the footage from yesterday to see if I could find him actually doing the deed and I did! He escaped 3 times yesterday. One time took him a solid 10 minutes of work. But here's the victory footage. If you zoom in, you can see the foam lock blocker I made at the door handle.
Julio blocks the details at the end but basically it looks like he gets his paw under the door while another paw opens from the side. He's crafty. But, if I do shot it tightly, he's defeated. I hope.
I was in no hurry to the pool because the sun is totally blocked today. It's a bright but sunless morning. Perfect for swimming. Actually perfect for everything. I can be in my house with no lights on and no glare anywhere. Swimming was very good.
Today is closet day. Last night, I had this long foam thing I wanted to put in the closet up high. But, when I did it, the blankets all came tumbling down off the shelf. I need a new plan. The closet actually needs a reorg and today's a fine day for it. I'm also going to inventory the storage unit and make sure everything in there needs to be in there. I suspect there are some items in there that need to find new owners.
The game is at 1. We've come to that time of the season where the broadcasters (Aaron Goldsmith in particular) are making it impossible for me to listen to the TV broadcast (plus the Mariners run these spots about the team which are ok the first time but they run them nearly every inning of every game and I'm over them). The radio is kind of inconvenient. There is no reception in here and I no longer have the MLB subscription I got with my season tickets. I can tune into the radio broadcast via WiFi but it's not handy and not easy to quickly mute if needed. So I've been watching the games while I listen to my book and either knit or play games on my phone or tablet. Since the Mariners are on one of their famous losing streaks, it's working out just fine. It's actually pretty interesting to watch with no sound (I do use cc).
Ok. My coffee is done and it's time to get dressed and get to work.
