After the Mariners lost today - sending all the Canadians home happy happy happy - I went down to check on Myrna. Her door was closed (as opposed to the usual ajar) so I came home and wrote a note asking her to call me to tell me she was fine. And slipped it under her door.

Then I puzzled a little and came home and was watching the news when I got a tap tap tap on my door and in she walks. She says she feels great and has every intention of going to exercise class in the morning as usual. So whew.

And as a rather hilarious post script on my banking escapades, there's a pretty good chance that I'll get slapped with an overdraft fee. I totally blanked on their holding back some of the original deposit and not making it available for some set of days. I now have ordered transfers and written a check on money that is not available. And, to add insult to... Timber Ridge is going to suck their money out on Tuesday or Wednesday and there might not even be any there!

I checked. I have not turned blonde but OMG. I have lost my mind. I will check it all tomorrow and call the Credit Union and beg. We'll see.

Having spent the dozen years keeping all the Friendly Financial plates in the air, keeping track of what money, how much, when deposits, when clear, payroll, on and on, I wrote a check last week for Dana dental and it is killing me that I have to watch my USAA balance until it clears. I want to be able to go ahead and take it out of the balance I see on the screen. And, of course, I have no idea when the dentist will cash it.

How things change.
