susandennisLast week I talked trash about Sylvia who used to play volleyball with us. She did not make the game more fun. So when she stopped coming probably a couple of months ago, I was fine with it. Today we learned she has lymphoma. I have no idea what kind but she is more than 80 so whatever kind it is can't be good. I'm still glad she's not playing volleyball but I'm sorry about the reason.
I wouldn't mind a trip to Safeway and I have a couple of Amazon returns for UPS but that will all wait until I get the air conditioning fixed in my car. It goes in tomorrow morning early. Hopefully they can do it in a day and I'll be cool on the road by Thursday. But, if it takes longer, really NBD.
Our current puzzle is a good one. It's a Ravensburger which I swear is the wagyu steak of puzzles. The pictures on the box give matching detail to the puzzle, the pieces are traditionally shaped, the puzzles are a matte finish. Often a puzzle is a way blown up version of the picture on the box. And if there aren't enough pixels, the box is a crisp, clean picture while the actual puzzle is all blurry lines and fuzzy images. I'm ok with weird shapes but weird shaped pieces often don't lock into one another. And, that's a jigsaw puzzle mortal sin, in my book. Our lighting isn't the best in the elbow for puzzling so glossy puzzle pieces are a bitch. Ravensburgers tick all the boxes on the Pro side.
So today there will be puzzling. And house cleaning. And baseball. And enormous appreciation for air conditioning.

I think they have a free month trial period, so if you have another car issue, you can always try the Whole Foods delivery and see if it is better then Amazon Fresh.
