Who pinched my nerve and why????
Jul. 11th, 2024 08:42 amThe pinched nerve is back in my leg. It was throbbing when I woke up this morning. I changed positions and in a minute it started again. It even hurt a little at the first of volleyball but then it settled down and then dissipated and is gone right now. Same leg, same thing only this time I recognize it and know it's not shin splints. It took me 6 months to get rid of it last time. Fuck.
The Mariner game was early yesterday - 3:30. About 2:30 I got a text from the car people that they were still working on my car but now looking for a part to fix the air conditioner. I figured they would get it done right at the height of the heat and rush hour traffic and the middle of the Mariner game. No thank you. So I texted back that I'd really rather wait until today to pick it up if that's ok. No prob was the answer. Then an hour or two later I got another text that they had found the part but had a couple of more hours of work to do. I said that I was honestly in no hurry and they should not be either. The next text was a huge thank you. I love this place so much.
So sometime this morning maybe, I'll get the car and the bill and, while I'm out driving my air conditioned car, I'm going to pop into Virginia Mason, which is next door, and see if I can get that new primary care physician. Oh and I have Amazon returns.
I also might pop into Safeway but I also might hold off on that until the weekend. Maybe.
Timber Ridge did not take out their rent from my checking account yet. Once they took it out on the 9th but every other time, it's the 10th. Today's the 11th and nada. So now I'm sure it is not automated which is ridiculous. This place is so well run in so many ways and so fucked up in others. I try hard to just enjoy what affects me today or this morning. And not stress over the stuff that sure looks like (but might not be anyway) bad management.
This morning one of the guys at volleyball reported that the fire with heat was turned on in the library which is in the section of the building that has major air conditioning issues. And then another chimed in that the one in the lobby was on yesterday. The one in the lobby is within clear/easy view of the receptionist who has the most direct line to the people responsible for issues like this. BUT not my worry. Short term, not my issue and, hopefully, I won't be around long term. But, geesh.
