Initially, my idea of letting Biggie out into the hallway and down to the elbow was to convince him that there was nothing out there worth his time and effort. We may be well on our way.

Today, I wanted to puzzle and he didn't so I snapped the leash on and laid it out in the hall and went to the elbow. Once again, he followed but soon just went back home. Julio is getting braver and likes hanging out near the door to my apartment but will scurry back in when anyone comes by.

All afternoon I kept the door open and neither one made a move. Yahoo!!

I like the door open because I like to see who comes and goes. And I like looking into other peoples' apartments when they leave their door open.

My second pair of shoes that I ordered from Amazon also did not fit so I returned those today. Next door to UPS is UBreakFix so I stopped in there after I made the return to ask how much it would cost to replace the screen on my phone ($400). And how much it would cost to replace the battery. ($150). I could live with the screen crack (it's tiny and at the bottom corner) but I don't think they will do a battery replacement without the screen fix. So... $550 to fix Pixel 7 and change. Or $1000 for a new Pixel 9.

But nothing til the condo sells. Which won't be until the condo goes on the market. Which won't be until the realtor moves out. And I have no clue when that might be. I can certainly make due.

I have been watching the national TV news every night at least 1 whole evening news show (ABC or NBC) and the headlines of the other. And I had subscriptions to the Seattle Times, the Washington Post and the New York Times. I canceled all three of the newspapers and killed off their notifications on my phone so really 5 mins or so of local news and the national show was it. I soon discovered I was missing major bits so I subscribed to some newsletters and set up some phone notifications (CNN, AP, etc). But then the New York Times got me with their half off deal so I'm back in that saddle. I spent a fair amount of time today reading past stories that I had missed. And tonight I turned off the national news after the headlines. Probably soon I'll even skip that part.

Timber Ridge should just offer screen doors! Dutch doors would be neat, too, but wouldn't work that well for keeping cats in if you wanted to while the upper part was open.

As far as I can tell, nobody at Brooksby leaves their door open. We actually lock our door when we're both out, which is probably unnecessary.
