In Summer, turns out the mornings start in the brightest sunlight possible. I hate it. I don't like the glare, I don't like the heat, I don't like it all. After a relatively short while, the sun moves enough so that it no longer invades my space. I like that much better but my preference is still for no sun at all.

And, miraculously, that's what we have today. Full daylight but no sun. It's probably behind the clouds. I don't care as long as it's not streaming in here. I can sit at my table by the window and look out at everything comfortably. It's so lovely. We rarely get clouds these days and I'm so grateful for this one. Even the temperature is cooler which does not affect me (thank you, a/c) but still I'm grateful for that as well.

And... it looks like tomorrow will be the same!! It's like Christmas in July!

I got a text from Wally this morning that he was able to read all of his emails but couldn't reply (this is because he couldn't figure out the web interface) but two were important and he replied via text so he was very grateful. He said he would be at the Apple store when they opened this morning.

Steve is kind of the defacto head of the volleyball and Wally is his long time pal. They have both been so good and so kind to me since the beginning. I kind of feel like Wally's asking me for help and my being able to actually help him, is returning the favor and I'm so glad I got the chance.

Also, it's fascinating to me how people with almost negative knowledge of what they are doing, can and do operate on the internet. Wally had no clue what I meant when I said browser or web page. I'm not entirely sure he knows the difference between email and text. And yet he uses his iPad and iphone everyday, happily and successfully. It tickles me and I think it's great.

I need to go to Costco today or tomorrow and I promised Myrna she could go with. I need to find out which day would be more fun for her. Not much else going on this week which is fine by me.

Last night for some weird reason, I looked up to see if the old Newhart show was streaming anywhere - the second one about the Vermont Inn (Larry and his brothers, Daryl and Daryl) and found it on Prime and started watching. The clothes are dated for sure and no cellphones but the rest is still hilarious and fun. I watched four episodes and found myself laughing out loud more than once. I plan to get back to it today.
