susandennisLast night I looked and was delighted to see that I have nothing happening for the next two weeks. Just the usual, normal, every day routine. I have a deep love for same old, same old. I enjoyed yesterday but honestly, to me, it felt like I was gone for two weeks. People - especially those here - are fascinated/horrified that I have zero interest in travel but I cannot imagine anywhere I would go or anything I would go to see or do that would be worth the hassle. I love my rut.
And this morning, my beloved rut was blessed with clouds. I suspect the sun will be out later but by then it will not be coming in here. My swim was glorious. I even got to use my clear goggles instead of the sunshade ones that really do leak.
When someone dies here, they put out a red rose and a little framed notice.
This is the pianist who lived in assisted living in the hallway I often use to get to the pool. He had a small studio apartment with a bed, a chair and a baby grand piano. He played often and you could stand in the hallway outside his room and get a free concert. He often gave concerts here for all of us. He did have a fair number of health issues but he still got out and about enough to get COVID and it did him in.
It appears the Mariner game might well be rained out today. I have knitting and TV and I do need to go pack up the latest puzzle and select a new one. My happy routine.
