Turns out some sensor in my washer/dryer has totally failed. So a new one is on order. And we're tentatively scheduled to fix on August 14. The fixer dude was nice and thankfully, not a talker. So he worked and I watched the Mariners lose the ballgame in the 10th inning.

The cats were fascinated.

The first thing he did was check that plug you told me about, [personal profile] solteronita. Now that I see how to do it, I'm all over it on my own next time. There was not much in there - a little lint and my mail key. ha!

He cleaned out some of the lint I couldn't get to and he also ordered me a new lint filter.

He said it would not hurt to use it and timed drying (as opposed to sensor drying) might even work. I'll try it. Worst case, I'll take my wet clothes down to Myrna's. NBD.

Glad it sounds like an easy fix! Being out in the boonies, I worry about getting a repair person here when/if something fails!

I watched the Mariners lose the ballgame in the 10th inning.

And thank you for that. Of course, being at the game meant that we didn't get to understand what happened on that weird double play in the 7th until we read about it in the paper this morning. (When, oh when, will MLB force the umpires to explain this stuff to the fans?) Also it would have been nice to see multiple replays (as I'm sure you did) of those two awkwardly acrobatic plays by Red Sox fielders in the top of the 10th.
