Update miscellaneous

susandennisI have a new fix it - washer/dryer version - scheduled for Tuesday afternoon.
They raised the prices - as advertised for meals. Our $12 lunches are now $16. Still a steal especially considering most are big enough for 2 meals. The prime rib special that is a huge fucking hunk of perfectly done meat with asparagus and a baked potato, roll, salad (or soup) and a drink and is available on Fridays and Saturdays. It has been $18. It has now gone up to $19.
I have $133 to eat up before the 10th. It's going to take some work. But, I'm up for the task.
Every year they raise the rents 4-5%. The year before I moved in, they raised them 10%. I'll betcha that was a festuche of the finest order. Marketing (those reinventors of truths) told me that the woman who lived in this apartment, moved out because there were too many old people here. I learned just after I moved in that she moved to a similar place in Texas. So clearly the old people reason was suspect. But today, Hazel and John told me that both she and the woman who lived across the hall moved out because of that 10% rent increase.
No one has fessed up to the bear caper or even proffered a credible hypothesis. Myrna says she's going to bring it up at Elbow Coffee tomorrow.
