The GE guy replaced a sensor yesterday and also left me a new filter. He didn't install it, he just left the box. "In case you want it." I put in all my dirty clothes and then hit trouble. It kept extending the drying time by 15 minutes. On the pro side, at least the sensor was working. It was sensing that the clothes weren't dry which is better than before. But, it wasn't drying them. Finally it just error'd out. The clothes weren't dripping but they were too wet to put away so I hung them all over the house.

Then I made an appointment for a tech to come fix. Friday 1-5. I thought about it some and decided to try the new filter. Installation was not trivial and I'm not sure I got it right but installed the filter - not trivial and I don't even think I got it 100% right. But I went around and gathered a selection of the hanging wet stuff and put it in dryer mode only AND it WORKED!!!!! Dry clothes! yahoo!

This morning I gathered up the rest of dirty stuff and started a load before I went swimming. It's just now finishing up. I'm 3 mins away from verifying victory! Well, dry clothes anyway. I still need to make sure the new filter is working. I'm not cancelling the service call just yet but I'm hopeful. And I have clean clothes.

I'm loving the pixel watch. I'd forgotten how much easier it is to use and see and how responsive it is. It's like wearing an Energizer bunny after wearing a slimy slug for months. As my brother pointed out, the battery is lame. But, I'm used to charging often. Now I may have to get a Pixel Watch 3 next week in addition to the Pixel 9. The trade in program for the watch is even better than the one for the phone. I'm hoping for a 2 fer deal.

2 mins on washer... tick tock

DONE! And dry clothes. Plus, I moved a gasket from the old filter to the new and figured out how to snap the filter into the handle so it no longer wobbles when you pull the handle out of the machine. I think... we may be fixed. I want to do one more load just to make totally sure before I cancel the service call. But, whew! And weird that he thought to order the new filter but not install. But, clean, dry clothes for the win!

I bought a jar of apricot jam with cardamom at Trader Joe's the other day. It sounded so good. My tongue did NOT agree. Into the bin. Ugh.

Back in the olden days when I made teddy bears, I went through stuffing like crazy. I had a favorite and it was great. I've been using the left overs but ran out and bought more. Ugh. They have changed the product substantially. And not for the good. So Amazon brought me a new kind/brand that I just opened and wow. It's better than the original! Plus it's shipped in small vacuumed packs - way better for storage. Major score.

No big plans for today. Just some happy dancing about clean/dry clothes.

Doh! Apricots taste better with cloves not cardamom. Wrong combo.

I have been following since the "Bear Days". I loved the bears and your group pictures. I would pick my favorite of the group. They were all so cute. Glad to see the newbies!
