volleyball, elbow coffee, lunch

susandennisSo far, this has been a lovely Saturday. We had a guest at volleyball - the son of our oldest player. He was good, too. Elbow coffee was fine but sparsely attended. Myrna's daughter and son-in-law came so that was different. The the usual four - me, Hazel, John and Myrna - did lunch. It's the last day of our billing period. I went $1.00 over - sigh.
It's hot out but, thankfully, I have no first hand knowledge of this. And have no reason to have to get any first hand knowledge of this. The rest of the week seems like it will be reasonable - mid-70's with mid-50's at night.
We're getting a little wildfire smoke but not much and, since I don't have to go outside, even that's not an issue for me.
I'm doing laundry - what a joy it is to have a working washer/dryer. And I'm getting ready to start another doll. I'm down to fewer than 10 dolls and bears in my giveaway basket now. One of my volleyball friends who pops by this hallway fairly often, suggested I string up a volleyball net over the baskets. "The dolls could play the bears!" I may do that one day.
On Tuesday Google will announce their new phones, watches and other stuff. I now have a fairly good idea of what the prices will be both for the new stuff and the trade ins. It's not the best time for me to be spending this kind of cash and I can perfectly well get by with what I have now. And believe me, I have worked hard to convince myself that buying either or both is ridiculous. Sadly I am pretty sure I have totally failed.
