Money money money

susandennisToday I have purchased lunch, frozen crispy burritos, dinner and English muffins and a cake and a watch and a phone. $1,563.15 But, I'll get $590 back when I send in my old phone and current watch. Plus $250 credit in the Google store (which is kind of like sleeves out of their vest but whatever).
The phone will be here the first week in September and the watch a week later. The rest is either here now or in my stomach.
Safeway sells cake squares. I like their vanilla cake with vanilla icing very much. I got a cake square last week and enjoyed the heck out of it. So this weekend I ordered up a whole cake. I ordered the cheapest one. They said it would be ready this morning. So after the Google thing, I went to pick it up.
A really really nice young lady dug around and finally, apologetically said they never got the order. She said she could whip me up one in an hour. But I spied a nice square layer cake in the case that wasn't that much more expensive. She said it was all vanilla. I said that will do fine.
I got it home and cut it up and it's WAYYY better than the one I ordered. I saved out two pieces and put the rest in the freezer and called the Safeway lady to find out what to call it when I order it next time. She said it's a 'Square Vanilla Cake' but "we nearly always have one ready to go so just pop in and get it whenever you want!"
Nice. Very nice.
I stopped at Taco Time and got a beef soft burrito which has been my go to road food around here for 25 years. It was terrible! The tortilla had the texture of shoe leather. I'll give it one more try but I'm clearly going to have to find another go to.
Today was house cleaning day. So now everything is tidy. I got some Chinese chicken for dinner. I might save it for lunch tomorrow and get dinner from downstairs. I haven't decided.
Myrna's daughter and son-in-law are still here. I miss having her to chat with but I think she's enjoying their visit so it's fine and dandy.
My web cams (the nest ones) have been on and off all day and it's driving me nuts. I reboot them and they stay on for 5 mins and then drop off again. I'm just going to leave them alone for a day and then try again.
The shelf this morning...
It's now 3:30 and already one of these is gone. I do love that they are going out into the world.
