Rainy day

Today could be mid-autumn. It isn't but only the calendar says so. There's a lovely layer of clouds and fog and a steady rain. All the peapatches out there are going to have a growth spurt for sure.

After sending her my message declining a phone call and requesting email only (again), I got a note from the office assistant of my financial advisor (using his email address) last night that said Hi Susan, Sounds good. I'll get things prepared for Tyler to call you. It's these kinds of things that make me want to just dump this firm and go back to that little boutique operation in Missouri. I'm thinking about it. Seriously.

On the up side, I am going to get my required distribution in cash which will, if I'm right about the amount, give me about 5 months of excellent cushion starting in December when the rental payments stop and the house goes on the market.

Ok, entry interruptus. I just sent the guy at the Missouri firm an email asking if he will take me back. He's the one who I worked with to get the bulk of my cousin's investments transferred. I liked him and his staff and their online options. I hope he will have advice on how I can nicely and kindly dump the dude with the dense assistant.

Every month there is a meeting of the entire 3rd floor. I've never seen a reason to go and so I have not. However, today, breaks that streak. John is giving a presentation on growing up in Ireland. I honestly do not care one bit but I sure don't want him to know that. And Myrna is presenting something. I have forgotten what. So today I will go and then I can ignore the next 12 meetings.

Last night was the first night in 30+ years that I actively did not watch the Mariner game. I tuned in towards the end to get the score but they were losing, as usual, so I just turned it off. I think it's not going to be hard giving up the TV broadcasts.

I think Costco has my favorite cupcakes and if so, I need to snag some. Myrna and I may have to make a trip. Maybe today. Maybe Thursday.

My bathroom sink has not been draining properly. Since I generally only use it first thing in the morning and last thing at night, I never remember to put in a work order to get it fixed or looked at. Finally, this morning, it just decided it was through playing plug up and drained like it should. Nice.

But, how glorious is it to know that even if it was a huge problem, it's not my problem. It's not my sink! I love not owning.

Ok, time to get dressed and get going on stuff.

If I was there and passed by the basket the little guy in green would come back with me. These are all so stinkin' cute.
