I got a gracious note back from my newly ex financial advisor. And the last wrinkle, my long term care polity, is ironed out. The transfer has started. My Stifel account got a bunch of details in it overnight and I got a note from Ameriprise that the first of the three accounts is transferring. I'm actually kind of surprised at how much relief this is all giving me. I knew the situation was bad but I didn't know how bad. I am sure glad I took action.

Last night I changed the living room. I had been sitting on the chaise end of the couch and having that much butt room was what was causing me to sit sloppily and giving me the stabbing back pain. I sat on the other side all day yesterday but 1. All my stuff is on the chaise side and 2. The vent (cold now but hot in winter) blows right on that spot even with the deflector. However, I do sit way better and getting up and down is more efficient so I'm more likely to do it.

A feature of this couch that I was pretty sure I would never use, is that you can switch the chaise from one side to the other. The bit that holds up the foot end is separate so you just move it and then flip the seat cushion over. The movers actually set it up with the chaise on the other side but it looked really wrong so I figured I'd never be flipping it.

But, last night, I decided to see 1. How difficult it really was and 2. How it looks now that I have a need for it. It was a bit more action that I planned. Two people would have been perfect but I managed. And I really don't hate it at all!! I actually like it as well. What fun to have options even in this tiny place.

Way back when my elbow first started bothering me, my brother recommended this band brace that I got from Amazon. It did wonders. It did so well that I did not need it at all except when playing volleyball. And then today I forgot to put it on. I remembered with my first shot but I was too lazy to get out and go get it. Bad decision. Now I have something annoyed from mid forearm up to my shoulder. It's ok when doing nothing but when I went to reach for the English muffins up in the cupboard, I got a major ouch. I think I'll be wearing it all day today and tomorrow and maybe for a while. I cannot jeopardize my volleyball career.

Myrna and I need to go to the Dollar Store and Costco. We might just do both today.

See what happens when you don't pay attention to your brother?

That's a tendon and can get annoyed enough that it takes months to heal. Fingers crossed that won't happen. I never have the problem but wear it every time.

Ouch.

Who do you use for your long term care insurance? I'm pretty sure that my budget can't carry a premium but I'd like to look at some companies.
