Thursday - little victories
Aug. 29th, 2024 08:52 amI have this great cat toy that sticks on the wall/window, etc. It sticks pretty good but not perfectly. Both cats love it when I first stick it up and then Biggie ignores it and Julio kind of plays with it once in a while. Yesterday, he was batting at it and it fell down. And hijinx ensued!
He grabbed the bird end and dragged it all over the house, he tossed it up in the air and then caught it, he dragged it around some more. It was pretty hilarious.

The aqua Yoga class turned out to be FABULOUS!!! My back was so sore that walking to the pool, I wondered if I would even be able to do anything. 30 minutes later, my back is ready for all night disco dancing! Seriously, it was amazing. And really nice. The instructor is going to put together some instructions for me to replicate particularly the moves that work on the back. Her boss, the fitness director, replied to my MORE MORE MORE, PLEASE! note by saying that the class had had a lot of interest and a very positive response so chances are good it will be added to the new schedule that comes out in October. So...yeah!
The regular yoga class they have is for experienced yogites and the chair yoga class is at a bad time but I found a beginning balance class that meets this afternoon and I'm going to give it a try.
Most of my investments moved from Ameriprise to Stifel over night. I cannot quite tell why not all of it did. It looks like none of the cash moved and most but not tall of the investments. I'm sure it will all be fine just weird how it's dividing up. I'm glad to see it underway.
We have issues with our head Food and Beverage guy. He's a jerk and, apparently, not a very good people manager or food service manager. He's been here about six months now. He announced about a month ago that they were going to completely redesign the main dining room. And he had 3 different design options that he wanted people to vote on. This was received so unfavorably by everyone that the planned was abandoned. Then he decided to close the main dining room on Fridays and Saturdays. The unfavorablies arose again but this time the Head of Timber Ridge stepped in and said that they had heard and listened and would try it for a month. Yesterday, I heard that even the trial has now been abandoned due to the bloody curdles of the masses. Meanwhile the service slips every week as does the quality of the food. I hope this guy is toast and soon. And I'm not the only one.
There's a gynormous white fluffy dog sniffing all the sniffs in the off leash area. His human is a tiny little old lady. I'll bet the dog weighs more. The off leash area isn't used that much but it's fun to watch when it is.
I got three dolls done yesterday so that shelf is back in the biz.

Date: 2024-08-30 01:24 pm (UTC)I love a good aqua class, so glad it sounds like they're going to expand it!
Yikes, I hope they hurry up and get a new food and beverage person, what a nightmare
