What a weird day

susandennisThe phone is here and all set up. The phone swapping dance is different every time. Mostly better. Today, I was not even given the option of moving shit over via cable. Just set 'em side by side and the new one sucks the goods from the old one. In 6 minutes.
Of course then there was an hour of getting the details in place but now it is all done. The trade in has been wiped and is ready as soon as the trade in kit arrives.
The stupidest and most annoying bit was the Pixel Watch. My watch was all set up with my old phone - a Pixel phone. But, in order to set it up with my new Pixel Phone, I had to factory reset it. There's a major WTF for you. And the new watch comes next week, so I'll have to do it all over again. But, Whatever.
It's a lovely phone and, instead of having to stick it on a charger every two hours, I can now go all damn day on a single charge. Glorious.
The cameras in my last few phones have been way smarter than me but look at this motherfucker. You don't even need to enlarge it to see what I see! That's just blowing my little pea brain.
Every couple of weeks, they show an episode of The Chosen here - mostly for a worship group that also meets on Sundays. Myrna and Hazel and John all go to both. They show the Chosen at 2. Myrna told me yesterday that lots of people go and fall asleep immediately. I allowed as how Napping With Jesus is probably good for many. Today at lunch they were discussing yesterday's episode and, apparently, there was a character none of them had ever heard of. All eyes on me. Google gave full info in seconds, of course, and they loved it. They they wanted to know how the series was funded. Easy peasy. And, I told them, That's with the old phone! Wait until I get the new one set up!!
But, of course, now my feeds are all going to be about Jesus for the foreseeable future. Sigh.
