Mending fool

susandennisI got everything in my mending basket done and dusted and even went and got a couple more things I remembered I wanted to fix. My little hand held machine really hates cheap thread. Even the thread that came with it. So I popped out and got some good stuff. Huge difference. Somewhere, Reddit probably, I picked up a tip that the vast majority of sewing needs - particularly mending - can be easily and neatly accomplished with only four colors of thread - Black, White, Gray and Rose. So that's what I got and that's what I'll use. It certainly worked for my current stack of stuff.
Everything is now done and all the stuff is put away. I feel accomplished.
The cats have been leaving cat hair on every inch of carpet. I finally broke down and bought a Dirt Devil cordless stick. I found one in the Amazon Warehouse which they are now calling Amazon Resale. It will be here Wednesday. At least I replaced the white carpet that Timber Ridge told me would be 'fine'. NOT SO.
But seriously, I've gotta quit spending money!
Time to do some feet up TV watching doll knitting.
