Culty Goodness

susandennisThis morning I read that Lumen Field (the football stadium across the street from my condo) has joined a bunch of other stadiums to become kind of a savior center. In a crisis, they will provide. Shelter, food, storage, etc. I remember in March/April of 2020, they set up a COVID center there with the National Guard which was actually moved to an area that needed it more before it even opened but it was both terrifying and comforting to have it there - so handy - then.
Now, I got the cult to keep me safe. In the event of anything, I am no longer on my own, having to fend for myself. The cult leaders and my friends here will be making the hard decisions and then telling me what to do. There is enormous comfort in that for me. It's not something I considered when deciding to move here but it is now pretty high up on the list of Cult Goodies.
And french fries. Their french fries here are massively delicious. Crispy good on the outside and pillowy in the inside. They serve them with most lunch menu items. And the portions are huge. They freeze/thaw beautifully, and crunch back up with just 5 mins in the air fryer. So I grab all the leftovers everyday at lunch. My freezer now is simply french fries and a couple of ice cream sandwiches.
Yesterday, I took the lunch time haul and chopped it up into little squares. This morning I fried up some of those squares with my sausage crumbles and an egg for breakfast and OMG. I have invented heaven.
My big chore for today is to call the bank. It's a simple call but, honestly, I hate it so much that I make it into a mine field and then step right on the trigger point. So, I'm going to get it over with as soon as I hit Post on this. And that will be it for the big doings today. Myrna and I may go to Costco. But, maybe not.
I may make a couple of bears today - just to shake things up on the shelf. Doll traffic has picked up a bit.
