wrapping my old brain around stuff
Oct. 3rd, 2024 08:41 amSo, of course, since there's nothing I can do about health insurance for a month, what kept me awake last night? Health insurance. According to the agent guy, all the policies are the same. A supplemental policy G is the same no matter what company. How can that be? Surely I misunderstood. BUT the actually, very helpful government Medicare site says "Price is the only difference between plans with the same letter that are sold by different insurance companies."
Wild. Then I thought of the stuff that is the most likely to happen. Broken bones, heart attack or cancer. The primary physician and urgent care are pretty straight forward. The eye doctor is a gray area. I think in terms of macular degeneration and glaucoma, he's medical, so covered.
I think I'll be googling this shit for a month. If it doesn't matter what company, what's the danger of making a bad decision? Christonacracker.
Today we have an outing. Myrna has a doctor's appointment at 1. We will head out right after lunch. We need to stop at UPS and the drug store and maybe the resale shop (only because we haven't been in forever and it's right next to the doctor's office). Also I need bread. I need coffee buy not desperately and mine is on sale at Costco until the 20th but Myrna needs some pretzels that they carry. We may be talking more than just an outing today.
I was at the front desk yesterday and spied this.

It cracked me up. Old people and their keys. The keys to our apartments and the building are actually cards - so theses are cars, etc. I particularly love the one with the Tile - neverloseyourkeys - tag. I know for experience that probably the battery died on that one but kudos for the thought.
Lots of doll adoptions yesterday!

But for the next few weeks, they watched the *portapotty* travel all over town :D Until the battery died!
