There's a woman who plays volleyball who has longish acrylic nails and a very loose definition of her own personal space. She played next to me today and stabbed me three times with those damn nails. Two of those times broke the skin. I will not be playing next to her again.

Elbow Coffee is usually 10-11:15. Today I left at 10:45. In the year I have lived here about 60-75% of our elbow coffee discussion is about disaster preparedness. I am over it. Today they started in again. Actually only two of the guys really bring the sledge hammer and they were hammering today. They had no new, no interesting, no useful information. They were just bitching and moaning about stuff we have no interest in, control over or need to know. Finally at the 30 minute mark, there was a lull and I said loudly - so the deaf could hear - How about a change of subject! I got a lot of positive response but it lasted one short topic and then the two guys started in again.

I just left. I was going to say something that was not nice or helpful. I may or may not have regretted it but the world is a better place because it is unsaid.

The cats' love of the watered down kibble did not last. They aren't thrilled with the OTC Urinary Track food any more either but I'm going to lean in. Chewy is delivering a box of 24 cans tomorrow. If they still hate it after those 24 cans, I'll reconsider.

I always try to change the subject when I'm talking with my sister and she just wants to go on and on about how horrible our parents were and it's their fault she has problems. I try to change the subject, but she just brings it back. It's like there's "one hit wonders" and now "one subject wonders" :b
