A glass of wine
Oct. 20th, 2024 08:13 amMyna's cost analysis is 'a glass of wine'. And she has $6 as her cost of a glass of wine. So anything under $6 is 'oh, that's less than a single glass of wine!'
I needed cat food and she needed to get out in the car so... after cat food, we went to Value Village yesterday. Value Village is a resale shop that carries everything and is nicely curated. She had not been in a while and her shopping juices nearly flooded the joint. She just loves to see every single thing and not just walking by and looking. She needs to examine and evaluate. 'Look at this, it's only 2 glasses of wine!!'
I like to see if they have any fat lady tops and interesting bed covers and then I'm done. To Myna, that is not shopping. That is drive thru purchasing. She ALWAYS gets a cart. 20% for balance and 80% for shopping. She fills the cart and then puts most of it back. She loves for me to tell her what I'm looking for and she goes after it like a dog after a bone. "Oh my, that was so much fun!!" "What a fun thing that was!" and similar phrases all the way home and after.
Last night she stopped by to tell me how much fun she had had (and to check and make sure she'd charged her watch correctly - she had) and I got her to slather my poor dried up back. "You know I charge way less than a glass of wine for this service so you can have it any time!"
Holly usually plays volleyball next to me (and I play next to the side of the pool). She wasn't there yesterday which is why I got stuck being stabbed by Sylvia. In fact, Holly hasn't been there several times recently. She called me last night. Holly's hearing isn't great and her phone is horrible and like a lot of people around here, she starts conversations in the middle and leaves out pertinent info. So... it was a very weird conversation. I did dig out that she has had some kind of medical procedure which won't allow her to be in the pool for a couple of more weeks. But she reminded me again that she's having an election night party and the only volleyball people she's inviting are me and Steve (who's great). She had mentioned this a couple of times without requiring a commitment and I just smiled. I have negative interest in an election night party. But, it looks like I'm stuck now. At least there is no prayer of getting a final result that night so I don't have to stay to the end. And it is only 3 floors up and half a hallway.
Both Julio and Biggie ate their new food this morning. They were hacking into the pate when I remembered to add some water and break it up. They were much happier then and the extra water is very good.
I filled up a 13 gallon bags with clothes to donate last night. There's a donation bin downstairs. I have a Chewy delivery coming in this morning so when it gets here, I'll take the donation down and pick up the delivery. That's about it for plans!
Other than knitting.
Yesterday, I caught Martha swapping out a doll she had picked up for this one with the fancy pigtails. I did add a new doll yesterday but, apparently forgot to snap a picture! That doll and the yellow bear were still there this morning so I just went out to get a photo and the doll is gone. The yellow bear is all alone. But, not for long. I just need face and hair on the next one and she'll g on the shelf.
