It's a full week, I tell ya. Also I'd like to standardize on laundry - Sundays and Wednesdays. But, I keep forgetting. I do like routine.

The IKEA comforter is a for sure fail. Biggie loves it.



But he's the only one. It's like sleeping under a dry cleaning bag. One that is soft and fluffy but still plastic. In the middle of the night, it was 65 degrees in my bedroom and I was too hot to go back to sleep. I kept throwing the thing off and then getting too cold and going back. I love the color and the fluff but nope. It's the end of the road for that one.

I'll put it in the elbow with a Free sign. It will be gone by noon.

We have a beauty salon here at the cult. It's located in a high traffic corner of the first floor and has lots of windows so you can easily see who's getting their white hair coiffed. Julie, who runs the place, is the nicest. She's very dear to all who use her services and she's always always busy. My volleyball guys tell me they have to book weeks in advance for a trim.

But, the funnest thing is that Julie always decorates her shop to the hilt. Always. No holiday is safe. And, of course, Halloween is made for her. She has spiders and webs and bats and candy and, befitting a beauty salon, she has a beauty.



To be clear - and I asked - this is NOT a resident waiting for her appointment.

Two political notes...

1. I have yet to see anyone connect the VERY clear dots between ecoli at McDonalds and Trump serving drive through at McDonalds - too hot a political potato???
2. I just read an AP article saying that Harris was risking losing people like Bernie Sanders by appearing with people like Liz Cheney. Right. I'm sure Bernie Sanders will be so offended that he'll vote for Trump. Hahahah I'll bet his ballot would just combust instantly.

These two made it through the night and were still there this morning when I got up. But, I'm guessing they will be gone probably before the IKEA comforter.

Haha, the joke under the picture makes much more sense.

If he didn't get the whole thing about not staring at the sun during an eclipse, I'm pretty sure cross contamination is well beyond his understanding.

The big news here last night was that the E. coli-infested onions came from - dun dun dun - Taylor Farms - which is based here near us - in Salinas, about an hour away. So that was Big News.

I love a lot of IKEA's colours and patterns - but I find their bed linens to be the opposite of soft.

I immediately made jokes to myself about the McDonald’s connections. I have kept them to myself because, with the other jokes about his intestinal issues and tiny hands, they were just too tasteless for a massive outbreak of Ecoli.
