Myrna was awake when I got here this morning and kind of pissed. She was not allowed anything by mouth after midnight so she was hungry and thirsty and kind of pissed. And kind of out of it.

Then the doctor popped in and started with "don't shoot the messenger". ARUGH. He said that the steroid injection would not be until tomorrow. BUT then she'd be cleared to transfer on Wednesday. Myrna absorbed this info without his having to repeat it and took it pretty calmly so I did, too. He further said that tomorrow she could eat and drink as she wants and none of this Nothing By Mouth crap.

THEN the social worker said that Mission Rehab Center had a place for Myrna and was expecting her on Wednesday. I asked about the how and she said I could take her in the car or for $90 we could hire a wheelchair transport cab. We voted to spend the $$. She said she would make the arrangements. And both she and the doctor seemed very credible.

After all this, Myrna perked up considerably. She was alive and awake and engaged. I suggested she call Joan our neighbor, who has not gotten an update and loves to talk on the phone. It was a good idea. They had a nice, long chat. I wished I had a book of sudoku for her to do. I think she would have done it. She did finally ask me if there was a way she could listen to a book. Heck, yeah. I set up Audible on my laptop and put my bone conducting earphones on her and she was off.

She was set so I split for home to get a tablet and to get my tires checked. The fabulous tire guy found one tire that was like a pound off and said that it was cold weather. It was colder this morning but not the first time it happened. But he was very sure and he knows tires so I said thank you and was very grateful.

I grabbed the tablet and headed back.

Myrna's daughter is working my last nerve (and I think Myrna's) she asks the same damn questions over and over again. I tried to explain stuff using different words but it didn't help so now when she asks me shit I just tell her what I told her before. I can hear when she's talking to Myrna that it's the same thing. Maybe she's just not to bright. I know her husband's a dim bulb but maybe she's the same way.

Oh Myrna did tell her that her brother came to visit which is a lie (she told him not to). Families are weird.

In non Myrna news, I got a CPA!!! Finally. He's with a small firm in Issaquah. His office manager called this morning after receiving my desperate email. My appointment is 2 pm on Friday, December 13. I'm not going to read too much into doing tax shit on Friday the 13th. I'm not. I'm just grateful I have a professional who's willing to work with me.

It's now 4:30 and she's nodding off. I need to get home and get onto her computer and check her email. Her credit card has issues.

I forgot to post a photo of the shelf last night! The doll was gone when I was back there today.

Yay for moving steadily closer to them actually doing the thing that will help Myrna, with a confirmed day and everything! Excellent call getting the transfer. Trying to stuff Myrna in your car in the state she's in sounds like a complete nightmare.
