susandennisMy problem with taxes is that I am in denial. I do the minimum. They scare the shit out of me so I just do whatever I can to make the whole filing process go away. I probably should have been jailed for tax evasion years ago.
I had a CPA for years who saved my ass and then the bastard retired. And then it all went to hell. I was too cheap to go to the firm he recommended 'but they will cost you about twice as much as I charge'. But mainly, I just didn't want to face their music. Answer all those questions. Deal with somebody new.
But, I dug my big girl pants out and now I have a new guy I am meeting a week from Friday. I want him to review 2022 to see if I can recoup some of that $41,000 fine. And review 2023 because I don't want another $41,000 fine.
Tammi, the office person, told me to bring in the returns and all the accompanying stuff.
I have it! All printed out and all organized into two accordion folders. And my printer didn't even run out of ink! I cudda just skipped the $70 trip to the store this morning but, it will run out eventually so I'll keep the ink.
I think I found the all the stuff that's missing. All tidy and stapled and ready. That was really the hardest part once I decided to do this. Finding everything and getting it all ready. And now it's done.
