Now that I know Myrna is ok or as ok as she can be, I'm done worrying about it. I'm actually a little grateful that I can't go see her. It feeds into my lazy plus I want the old Myrna back. I've used up all my care giving. She has other people and I appreciate them. I washed her sweater, and knitted her a Christmas elephant and wrote her a note. I have one more thing I want to do and then, I'll just wait for her to get back here.

I'm now on my own again and I like it. I can come and go when I want and where I want and I like that.
The weeks I cared for Myrna - here and in hospital - I trippled my normal steps. And I noticed that my legs were a lot more operational. It's now way easier for me to get off the couch and I can walk faster more easily and comfortably. So I need to pay attention to that. I might just take a walk over to the fitness center today and see if I can get in love or at least like with some of that equipment. If not, I'll just walk. Volleyball has been particularly active recently BUT I think I need walking, too.
I had the best breakfast just now. With dinner one night, I got a small baked potato that I didn't want then. And some bacon bits for it. So this morning I cut it up and sauteed it with those bacon bits and when it was all crunchy, I poured egg over top and then cheese. And then flipped it over and OMG, it was very excellent. And I have potato and bacon bits all sauteed and ready for a couple more breakfasts.
I have always enjoyed doggy bag food. Leftovers from restaurants that I can then turn into scrumptious meals. Plus it always feels like a free meal. Here, I get those leftovers daily and they are the best part of eating here at Timber Ridge.
Now I think I'll put on my Sunday 'uniform' - gray pants and a Mariners t-shirt. I started wearing this every Sunday last winter for no good reason and now I love it. No decisions. ha! It's the little things.
