He didn't reject me

susandennisThe CPA was fine. His name is Jeff. He looks more like a shady lawyer than a CPA but he has the personality of a solid numbers guy. He said hello, received my documents and started right in on 2022. So I spent two hours watching him shuffle through papers, work the calculator and enter numbers into the computer. It was riveting.
I owe him 3 forms - all of which I have now located and just need to print out. His office is maybe 10 minutes from here except if you leave there on a Friday night at 4. And then it's 35 minutes from here. NBD. He found one error right off the bat and it looks like maybe I might be able to get back enough money to pay him which is perfect.
He has other Timber Ridge clients which is very good.
There is a major medical deduction that we (Timber Ridge) get to take involving a very obscure IRS form. Turbo Tax won't use it so that's why I had to move to H&R Block last year and even then I had to beg and plead and insist that it be used. Today, he looked at 2022 in detail but glanced at 2023. 'I want to make sure you got that medical deduction from Timber Ridge. Oh, right, yes, I see you did, good.'
I'm very very grateful to have found him and to him for taking me on. I will no longer have to worry about income tax returns - just how to pay for them!
Bonus, his office is very near the dollar store so I can reward myself very cheaply. I need washing machine soap and I like theirs. I think I'll drop off the papers this weekend and get some soap.

I really hope that your condo sells super fast, so you can get that behind you as well and just relax in your life. :-)
