I have the weirdest and most enormous sense of calm in having all my tax shit together and in the hands of someone who will make it right. I finally got the last document this morning. Their system was fucked last night but a good night's sleep seems to have fixed it. Everything Jeff asked for is printed out and in an envelope and will be in his office this morning. Everything for 2022 and 2023. 2024 is outlined enough for him to advise on any more estimated taxes I need to pay. Between Jeff and Geoff (ha! I just focused on All My Financial Info Comes from men whose names sound the same but are not), I feel like my financial walk in closet is now, finally, organized and tidy. And that feels very excellent.

Today, after elbow coffee, I'm going to drop off those docs and then drop off my Amazon return and then hit up the Dollar Store for essentials.

Ooops. Forgot to finish and post. Now it is after elbow coffee which was not thrilling. Old people sitting around discussing bone density is not as much fun as you might think. Everyone's doctor tells them something different and between what they remember their doctor saying and what their friend told them last week, the relay is suspect. X 12 old people. I left early.

On the up side, Bonny's son and daughter in law made wonderful cookies and the best chex mix ever and I have a bag of each.

And Martha brought back a cat for the basket. So here's last night's shelf and now they is one more cat.

I'm off to do my errands.

That's great that the doctor was aware that you might need to keep the appointment and was checking with you, rather than just informing you!

Elbow coffee reminds me of why I take notes before, during, and after doctors' appointments to ensure I got things right. LOL

As a certified Old Person, I do certainly perceive (and, I'm afraid, participate in) the tendency of conversations to zero in on matters medical. I think it just comes with the territory.
