We just got this from Mission Control - aka Timber Ridge Reception:

The weather forecast is predicting another bomb cyclone tomorrow (December 23rd). While the winds are not predicted to be as severe as the November event, there is a chance of power loss.

Please secure the items on your balconies and patios. Charge your electronics, keep flashlights/lamps nearby and have batteries on hand.

Please stay safe.

None of my weather apps say a word about it and there are no warnings. But, alas, the last time TR sent out a note like this, I couldn't find a mention of it elsewhere either. I hope not as severe means no power outage instead of power outage of 4 days, not 5.

Laundry all done. Suitcase thrown out. Clothes now in donation bin downstairs. Chewy order arrived and all put away. Sheets and comforter swapped out for clean ones.

I wanted the Martha Stewart documentary on Netflix. It was a decent watch.

So far, excellent day. And the power is still on!

It's going to rain and get a little bit windy tonight, but nothing crazy... at least in Seattle, maybe those mountains will have a special effect out in the boonies where you live.

Hopefully it turns out to be a minor event - but I can imagine they are gunshy right now!

TR must have a direct line to the weather gods. Hopefully this time they're overreacting. Have lots of pre-emptive showers.
