Myrna died today at noon

Her friend, Ethel called me just now to tell me. She didn't have many details but wanted to make sure her neighbors were informed. Apparently, she moved back to Timber Ridge - to the nursing wing - yesterday and asked everyone to keep it a secret until she was settled. And then she died at noon.

No one up here knew and most aren't even around this afternoon. I went and got Bonny and we went door to door.

I know she had a good life and was grateful for it and probably pissed she didn't die before the pain but is ok with doing it now and doing it here. I miss her.

I'm sorry Myrna is gone. She deserved better final days than her pain and her lousy kids gave her, but at least she managed to get back to Timber Ridge, however briefly. I'm sorry you didn't get to see her at least one more time, and she probably would be too.
