A second unit in my condo building hit the market today. Slightly smaller, 1 less toilet, $75k cheaper and disgustingly filthy.

It must have been a rental. I sent a note to Bret, my realtor, for any inside skippy he has on the unit.

After thinking about it and watching the melt, I decided there was an advantage to getting my tax papers in this morning and I drove them over. Possibly, I can get ahead of the crowd. But, mainly, hopefully, I'll get customer brownie points for early submission.

The roads were fine.

Good Lord, I would be embarrassed to list any property like that. Absolutely horrible. Yours shines like the sun in comparison. 🙂

Wow, that other unit disgustingly dirty. Even if you figure the new owner will paint and recarpet, it being so dirty will make buyers wonder what else might be wrong. How did the realtor let it go on market like that?

Hi Michael here that is a great place I think but in that condintion I would never pay for that place. needs to be redone and updated before I would ever consider making that place home.

That first one is a major fixer-upper - not just dirty! It's also smaller than your apartment so I wonder whether the price difference between the two places is enough. I'll be interested in what Bret says.

The mind boggles - WHAT were they doing - using the walls as hand towels? HOW do walls get that filthy?

Are they expecting the buyer to go in and immediately flip the place? Is it so hard to even get a cleaner in there to clean the tub before taking photos? Wow.

Wow, that's really dirty, I can't even imagine someone would buy that for that price over yours.
