Today I went to the grocery and came home and prepped all the food pretty much like spiffikins does every week but not even close to exactly.

It was good to get out, I have to admit. I took the document to the CPA where the reception person was very nice and thoughtful. Of course, on the way home, I finally got an email ack from the woman I sent it to last week. Thanks, bitch.

In Safeway, I spent way more than I wanted to but my expensive butter was on sale for more than half off. And other excuses. Like why is hoisin sauce so expensive??

I came home and cooked up the mushrooms and froze them. And sectioned off the meat into servings (it was also half off - 4 meals worth for $4). Then as long as I had the big frying pan out (mushrooms), and now empty, I sauteed some cheerios for snacks. I was going to freeze some onions but decided not to. The big slices/chunks I like don't freeze that well.

In my former life, I'd be counting up all the money I saved by stretching my money over so many meals. But, here, it's the opposite. I'm saving nothing since these meals are on top of the Timber Ridge meals I already paid for. But, whatever. I do now have enough on hand for 4 full mushroom/beef stir fry dinners which is what I've been craving. And oatmeal for breakfast. And fried ceerios for snacks. And a lovely outing. I'm fine with it.

No word from SteveTheLawyer and it's now end of day there. LeSigh. I'll call him Monday morning to get the excuse du jour.

LOL, too funny :D

I went looking for a recipe for fried cheerios - and was REALLY trying to see how that would be good? Salt? some recipes had worchestershire sauce and garlic salt.

And then I realized - I'm automatically assuming you'd use HONEY NUT cheerios, since that is the only kind of cheerios we ever bought :D

Plain cheerios and savory seasonings...makes MUCH more sense, LOL

When you fry cheerios in butter, does the butter cancel out the heart healthy attributes of Cheerios? Please say 'no.'

I have also never heard of frying Cheerios but I'm thinking it might be genius.
